Meet The Founder
I am a degreed chemist with over 20 years of experience working in the field of science and a lifelong love for learning that began in childhood. Science has always been more than a subject to me—it has been a way to understand the world and nurture curiosity.
I am also a proud mom of two college graduates, which has given me a deep appreciation for the lasting impact of early learning experiences. After relocating to Columbia, SC from Greenville, I felt called to combine my professional background with my passion for education in a way that supports both children and families.
In addition to my scientific background, I am a board-registered behavior technician and have completed formal training in early childhood development, with professional learning documented through SC Endeavors. Through this work and study, I became especially interested in research showing that early exposure to STEM concepts helps children build confidence, strengthen problem-solving skills, and better retain complex ideas over time.
These experiences shape everything we do at Tink & Wonder. My goal is to create learning environments where children feel safe to explore, ask questions, and develop a genuine love for discovery—supporting not just academic growth, but the whole child.
